  Module 1: Visioning

Vision provides guidance about what to preserve and what to change. The development and communication of a vision statement is central to creating a sense of purpose within an organization and is a key element in leading organizational change. Developing a vision statement requires it to fit within the mission and values of the organization as well as lead to a tangible strategy and set of strategic initiatives. The vision statement is a bridge between an organization's mission and its strategy.

This module will explore the following discussion areas:

  • First, it considers how leaders develop a vision and communicate it to create and sustain a positive workplace.
  • Secondly, it discusses a process of implementing a vision for your organization.
  • Thirdly, the module provides practical advice for leading change in complex organizations, strategy implementation, and strategic initiatives and organizational change within and across organizations to achieve your vison.
